A KABE chassis service is a combination of inspection and maintenance of all important chassis parts of your caravan or motorhome. The entire chassis, lighting and tires are discussed. This maintenance is comparable to a ‘minor service’ for your car.
When everything is in order or, after consultation, the necessary repairs have been carried out, we will provide your caravan or motorhome with a KABE approval sticker.
A specially trained inspector focuses on the following parts during the undercarriage service:
- Skew check
- Check condition of the overrun brake, cables and pipes
- Checking the brake lining and wheel bearings
- Check underside of chassis & drawbar
- Tire and suspension check
- Check breakaway cable
- Control all moving parts
- Brake test
The KABE advises you to have a KABE maintenance carried out once every two years and to have this KABE undercarriage service carried out in the intervening years.
